Promoting the use of ecological research to policymakers and supporting BES members to engage with policy.
The policy team monitors the development of legislation and policies relevant to biodiversity conservation, and related higher education sciences at the devolved, national and European levels. Where appropriate, we try to ensure that these policies are informed and supported by the most relevant evidence. Additionally, we help train members in effective communication with policymakers and to influence policy development.
