Wind profiles in plant canopies: studies on an analytical model.
Abstract
Discusses the theory of canopy flow models, and gives wind profiles measured at various heights in an unthinned stand of Sitka Spruce in Scotland, and in maize, beans, and an orange orchard. The measured profiles are analysed in terms of a model derived independently. The suitability and limitations of the model are pointed out.
