Ecological studies of the Sudan. III. The effect of simulated rainfall distribution at different isohyets on the regeneration of Acacia senegal (L.) Willd. on clay and sandy soils.
Abstract
Describes an experiment in which simulated June rainfalls of 200-500 mm. were applied on sandy soils, and of 300-600 mm. on clay soils. Results showed that the germination % of A. senegal is a direct function of the amount of simulated rainfall, and that the soil type and frequency and intensity of rains also affect germination.
