Role of the light in the prevention of the poisoning action of hydrogen sulphide in the rice plant.
Abstract
Analysis of weather data for 20 years indicated that toxicity was related to low sunlight hours, and shading experiments confirmed this belief. Round grained japonica rice varieties which had low sunshine requirements were not so senstitve to H2S as long grained indica types which had a higher sunshine requirement.[318:241.22.221.1].
