The Hemiptera and Coleoptera of stinging nettle (Urtica dioica L.) in East Anglia.
Abstract
The phenology and growth chracteristics of U. dioica are considered in relation to the successful exploitation of the plant in E. Anglia by several Heteroptera, Homoptera and Coleoptera. Studies are reported to elucidate the life cycles of the commoner phytophagous species and some of the more important habitat factors determining their distribution.
