Leaf area index and volume growth in thinned stands of Liriodendron tulipifera L.
Abstract
Another version of work already noticed [see FA 34, 853] showing that LAI and the date when leaf fall was half completed accounted for 72% of the variation in stem volume increment. The inclusion of site index, stand age, latitude and elevation did not materially improve the amount of variation accounted for. [Cf FA 34, 3026]
