Dry season weed communities in the upper Belize valley.
Abstract
Weed communities sampled at 78 sites on farmland in the upper Belize Valley, British Honduras, showed 148 different weeds present, of which 103 were identified to species [listed]. The weeds came from widespread geographic areas and most species were of infrequent local distribution. The effects of environmental conditions were not well defined although the more abundant species tended to associate either on pastures or on cultivated fields. The data are discussed from he point of view of weed control.
