The ecology of Chondrilla in the eastern Mediterranean.
Abstract
The ecology of the Chondrilla genus in the eastern Mediterranean region is described and compared with that in the western Mediterranean region. The basic ecological status of the genus in the 2 areas is similar but there are important differences. In the eastern area there are more forms or spp. of Chondrilla and several more associated organisms. The effect of these differences on population density, habitat range and abundance of Chondrilla is discussed. From summary. See also WA 24, 1541.
