The use of a temperature integrator to predict the developmental period of the parasite Aphidius matricariae.
Abstract
The value of a temperature integrator was demonstrated when determining the development of the parasite Aphidius matricariae Hal. on the host Myzus persicae (Sulz.). Development from egg to adult required 161.6 plus or minus 2.1 day-degrees C. The threshold of development for different stages of the life-cycle varied between 7.4 and 7.9 deg C.
