A note on establishment of Widdringtonia cedarbergensis (Clanwilliam cedar)
Abstract
A study in April 1986 of sowing method (broadcast or buried), sowing density (8, 4, 0.8 seeds/m2) and granivory (using rodent exclosures) in an area of the central Cedarberg mountains, South Africa, burned by wildfire the previous Nov. Germination and survival were best from buried seeds, and excluding rodents.
