The effect of car traffic on breeding bird populations in woodland. IV. Influence of population size on the reduction of density close to a highway.
Abstract
Data are reported from studies at 3 sites crossed by highway A2 between Utrecht and Eindhoven, Netherlands - one near woodland dominated by Populus, and the other 3 a mixture of Populus woodland and Salix coppice. The previous 3 papers are to be found in Journal of Applied Ecology (1994) 31, 85-94, 95-101 & (1995) 32, 187-202..
