Proceedings 26th German Conference on Weed Biology and Weed Control, Braunschweig, Germany, 11-13 March, 2014.
Abstract
This proceedings contains papers discussing new research results and innovative methods in the area of weed science. Topics covered include: (i) weed biology, ecology, monitoring, population dynamics, and biodiversity/ecological functions; (ii) modelling and molecular methods in weed science; (iii) alien/invasive/rare weed species; (iv) allelopathy; (v) intra- and interspecific competition; (vi) weed management in field crops, organic farming, grassland, non-crop land; (vii) preventive, cultural (e.g. crop rotation and tillage), biological, physical and chemical weed control measures; (viii) new herbicides, mode of actions and formulations; (ix) strategies for a sustainable use of herbicides; (x) herbicide resistance in crops/weeds; (xi) precision farming; (xii) application techniques; (xiii) environmental behaviour of herbicides; (xiv) environmental and aquatic impact of herbicide application; (xv) weed management in extension services; and (xvi) legal aspects in weed control.
