Ecosystem Services and Gaelic: a Scoping Exercise.
Abstract
This report is a scoping exercise to ascertain the potential for identifying: (1) and highlighting how an understanding of Scotland's Gaelic language and heritage might inform a wider appreciation of Ecosystem Services nationally; (2) geographical locations, toponymical evidence and sources of Gaelic environmental and cultural information which specify historical appreciation and provision of Ecosystem Services; and (3) information which relates to the historic Gaelic understanding of Ecosystem Services to current and future use of land, freshwater and maritime resources.
