Abstract

This chapter describes how conservation efforts are often far less effective than they could be, outlining the problems with how conservation decisions are usually made. Sections discuss: the evidence in crisis in conservation; why poor decision making is common; the evidence revolution; the case for adopting evidence use; the inefficiency paradox; and how to transform decision making.
