Abstract
This report provides an update on the feasibility of creating new categories within the terrestrial breeding bird indicator, with a focus on urban, wetland, and adaptations to the existing farmland indicator to include three sub-categories. Key findings include the successful creation of a reliable urban indicator for Scotland, showing an initial increase followed by a decline in urban bird populations. The report also highlights the possibility of producing indicators for various farmland types and wetland habitats, with notable trends such as positive developments in pastoral farmland and declines among wetland species.
