A strength of the BES report is the consideration of the potential of nature-based solutions in a wide variety of habitats.

The report is structured with chapters on different habitats, from woodlands and peatlands to grasslands, rivers and urban environments.

A session at the BES’s Festival of Ecology annual meeting in December 2020, saw several of the lead authors give talks on their chapters as they were being assembled.
